So while the anime aesthetic is a big component of anime, it is only a part of the anime, because what makes anime truly anime is of course the movement. And while animation is a marvel to behold and understand in itself, there are certain animation techniques employed by anime animators that not only have a background in cinema but also save valuable time and money. And while some animation purists would claim these techniques to be cheats or tricks, they not only help out the animator but are also established methods of cinematic story telling.
